NemaFence® Phasma
NemaFence® Phasma
Efficient and rapid biological control of soil-dwelling slugs with Phasmarhabditis beneficial nematodes.
- Efficient biological control of soil-dwelling slugs – with Phasmarhabditis californica beneficial nematodes
- Rapid control – when used curatively in moist soil
- Controls various spp – Arion spp, Grey field slug (Deroceras reticulatum) Brown field slug (Deroceras panormitanum) Greenhouse slug (Lehmannia valentiana)
- Can also controls small snails – living in the substrate
- Low temperature tolerant – effective in soil temperatures of 5°C to 30°C
- Easy to use - safe for humans, animals and environment and no pest resistance issues
How NemaFence® Phasma works
- Infectious juvenile nematodes penetrate host through natural openings
- Once in body cavity, releases symbiotic bacteria to quickly killed host
- Infected slugs stop feeding within 3 to 5 days
- Nematodes multiply in the slug
Eventually the slug dies due to toxic compounds produced by the symbiotic bacteria - New infectious nematodes released to search for more soil-dwelling slugs
Packaging
- NemaFence® Phasma-30mil.
